About Stacey

Stacey is a certified teacher through the Pilates Method Alliance, an international trade organization. She is widely recognized as the leading historian on the life of Joseph Pilates and his contribution to the fitness industry, formerly known as physical culture. Stacey has published several articles on topics ranging from health and wellness to the history of Joseph Pilates, and is currently working on her first book.

Stacey has presented her work and research to women’s organizations and corporate and educational groups as well as international trade organizations. Her unique, no-nonsense and entertaining approach to health and fitness translates across a broad spectrum of industries to impact medical professionals, personal trainers and physical education teachers.

Aside from Stacey’s experience as a Pilates teacher, which began in 1999, she has studied anatomy and physiology, functional anatomy, gross anatomy, massage therapy, and movement.

Stacey’s early career accomplishments include education and experience in the fields of business and fashion merchandising. Stacey was the first to develop a line of clothing geared specifically for the Pilates professional and also developed the “Towel,” a sustainable exercise accessory that transforms the arms and aligns the upper body.
