My Point of View
The definition of physical exercise is any activity that enhances or maintains the overall health and wellness of the body. By today’s standards, those activities include anything that gets the blood pumping, burns calories or squeezes muscles. Sounds good, but does it really work?
Exercise should support and preserve the body’s posture, fuel its systems through proper oxygenation and nutrition, and restore the muscles back to their proper alignment when they are compromised from daily or improper use. Basically, people like to take their bodies out to play, so to speak, but never think about how to put them back together when they are done.
Walking, running, golf, tennis and many other activities are classified as exercise but are not as good for our bodies as we may believe. If you think about it, is there any item on that list that you can do for a lifetime without experiencing some level of pain or discomfort? To some, a 5-mile run is a way to relieve the stress of the day, but to your body, it stresses the heart and is bad for the knees. Lifting weights might sound like a way to build stronger muscles, but to your body, it means stress on the joints and damage to the muscles. Aerobic exercise is anything but aerobic, since the increase in heart rate it causes is how the body responds to a lack of oxygen.
I have redefined fitness by defying that standard philosophy of exercise and developed a scientifically focused fitness system that makes sense. Physical Methods™ is proven to develop the strong respiratory function needed to meet the oxygen demands required by every system of the body. My focus on muscle alignment–instead of squeezing muscles–allows for the natural weight-bearing muscle contractions that result in development. This focus also maintains and restores the strength and flexibility your body needs for life. (The Science of Muscular Alignment)
Your body did not come with a set of instructions…until now.
“Physical Methods, because life doesn’t happen in alignment.”
